Generational Leadership

Registration

This track of programs will explore the generational changes that are fueling a transfer of leadership and wealth marked by both opportunity and challenge. The Greatest Generation is eager to share lessons-learned; Baby Boomers want to make contributions that will build a lasting legacy; Generation X is hungry for opportunities to lead and reform the field; and Millennials are bringing new energy and approaches to philanthropy. Funders that do not address generational change may risk culture clashes, human resource and funding shortages, and unhealthy grantee transitions. Those that seize this moment can enhance their relevance for the future and expand the talent available to steward their missions. Each session in the Generational Leadership track will examine one dimension of the generational leadership challenge; together the sessions will provide the whole picture.
