Rural Philanthropy

Registration

Rural America contributes much to the American way of life. We look to our rural neighbors as an abundant source of food and as a source of inspiration. We equate rural America with traditional values, closely knit communities, and hard work. But rural America faces a number of unique issues and challenges. In 2006, the Council’s board of directors made a commitment to explore those challenges. It has been said that “over the next ten years, some of the most creative solutions to problems in philanthropy will come from rural America, because rural Americans have always had to be creative problem solvers.” Join some of the country’s foremost experts in grantmaking in rural America as we discuss the issues and solutions facing philanthropy in America’s heartland.
