Rob retired in December 2018 after 18 years as president of the Council of Michigan Foundations (CMF) and a career in philanthropy that started with the C.S. Mott Foundation in 1977. His career has also included the Gannett Foundation, Rotary Charities of Traverse City and founding the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation. He was a volunteer for CMF before joining the staff in 1995. Rob's volunteer work with the Council on Foundations began in 1977 and includes service on the Public Policy Committee, the Professional Development Action Committee, the International Committee, Annual Conference Program Committee and more.
