The Council’s Public-Philanthropic Partnership Office hosted a webinar for funders only with the Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration on Children and Families to help foundations understand the regular programs and goals of the agency.

The webinar was moderated by Mark Greenberg, ACF Acting Assistant Secretary. Assistant Secretary Greenburg has led his agency over the past year in an intentional effort to deepen its understanding of how to better partner with philanthropic organizations. To that end, the ACF staff have also been actively participating in the Council’s Federal Philanthropic Liaisons engagement program for the past year.

The webinar featured multiple ACF leaders about their work and some of the successful partnerships they have developed with foundations around the country. Speakers included:

  • Rafael Lopez, Commissioner of the Administration on Children, Youth and Families
  • Ken Tota, Deputy Director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement
  • Colleen Rathgeb, Director of Policy and Planning in the Office of Head Start
  • Mishaela Duran, Director of the Office of Regional Operations
