Education Grantmakers Institute

Join us this April at the Education Grantmakers Institute at Harvard Graduate School of Education. Together, we will delve deeply into philanthropy's role in impacting policy discussions around the opportunities and risks of accountability.

You can help shape the conversation.

The program, From the Fringes to the Forefront: Innovation's place in the accountability debate, won't shy away from tough talk (#GFEToughTalk), intentionally asking at each turn: What are the conversations we're not having? With Harvard faculty, we will explore three major themes rooted in education policy and the unique role of philanthropy.

* Equity: How can we build on equity as a core value, utilizing the past as we look to the future?

* Innovation: How can we align accountability with the 21st-century and workforce demand?

* Public will: How can we garner enduring public support for improvements in education accountability?

This rigorous and participatory program will serve as an incubator for collaboration within and beyond your organization. We encourage members to bring teams that could include: colleagues; government, school district, nonprofit, or corporate partners; and/or contract lobbyists. The program will offer ample independent or team-time for action planning and problem solving.

Whether as a team or on your own, you can be part of our exciting program. Please join us at the Education Grantmakers Institute, April 5-6 at Harvard University.

An optional site visit to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on April 7 is included with your registration fee.
