Confronting the Hidden Barrier: Talking About Class and Extreme Inequality

Last Update: Thu, December 11, 2008
Description
The growing economic divide and society’s resistance to addressing the issue of class are undermining our democracy, economic future, security, and sustainability. While many working within the philanthropic sector use resources to address many social ills, a better, more effective approach may be to identify and address the root causes of economic inequality, class differences within our own organizations, and classism in nonprofit organizations. At this session, we’ll determine if we have the tools and skills to effectively grapple with these issues.
