| Many grantmakers recognize that racial inequities are the result of a complex set of interacting systems that do not lend themselves to simple, one-shot solutions. Instead, addressing racial inequities requires a structural approach to be effective. What this means in practical terms, however, is not simple. This session will examine local and regional approaches that aim to have a broader structural impact, while also engaging those most affected as agents of these changes. The presenters will indentify and discuss some of the inherent challenges of local, base-building approaches versus broader, structural (state, national, or global) approaches. | |
