A Continuum of Corporate Volunteerism: Engaging Millennials through Baby Boomers

Last Update: Thu, December 11, 2008
Description
The changing dynamics of the American workforce require new and innovative strategies to engage both new corporate employees and an aging workforce in corporate volunteerism. The emerging millennial generation that is joining the workforce demands that its employers provide meaningful volunteer opportunities. And as the workforce ages and Baby Boomers retire, there are new opportunities to link retirees to volunteer activities so that communities can keep benefitting from their skills and experience. This session will explore strategies to engage and unify employees at both ends of the professional spectrum and to leverage their participation in corporate volunteerism programs.
