Rural Philanthropy in Tough Economic Times - Challenges and Opportunities

Last Update: Thu, December 11, 2008
Description

Headlines have told the stories of the losses felt by millions – retirement savings; company downsizing; businesses closing; shrinking endowments.  Little is often said (or understood) about the resources of rural communities.  And even less is told about the impact of those communities in this roller-coaster economy. Join key foundation leaders as they discuss how rural communities are enduring in  these financially uncertain times—and what opportunities may be on the horizon.  This is conversation will continue in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the William Jefferson Clinton Library, later this year, but you can join now to learn the latest on issues facing rural areas.
