Make your Voice Heard on Tax Reform
It's finally here. The moment we've been anticipating for decades: tax reform.
When the 115th Congress begins its session in January, they will hit the ground running to begin drafting this bill. But, your Members of Congress need to hear from you to represent your voice in the conversations that will shape what this looks like.
That's why right now is the time to tell them what we do and do not want to see in that legislation.
Ask your Representatives to Join the Philanthropy Caucus
House Philanthropy Caucus Co-Chairs Pat Tiberi (R-OH) and John Lewis (D-GA) issued a Dear Colleague Letter during Philanthropy Week in Washington 2016 encouraging their colleagues to join the Caucus. The Caucus provides an important forum to discuss issues critical to the work of philanthropy and an opportunity for Members and their staff to build and strengthen relationships with the philanthropic sector.
Take action by urging your Representatives to join the Philanthropy Caucus.
Ask Your Senators to Join the Philanthropy Caucus
Senate Philanthropy Caucus Co-Chairs, Richard Burr (R-NC) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY), issued a Dear Colleague Letter encouraging their fellow Senators to join the caucus. The Philanthropy Caucus provides elected officials and their staff with a forum to learn about the critical work of philanthropy and the challenges impacting charitable giving. It also signals to others their public support of the sector.
