In partnership with CEONet, this session will explore how community foundations can work together and with their local partners on solutions to the pressing issues we all face.

Join this Leading Together 2021 preconference session to hear from thought leaders, foundation executives, and advocates who are working at the forefront of social change and challenging existing policies that maintain the status quo.
Leading Together remains the destination to engage in transformative conversations about how philanthropy can do our part to create a better world and earn the trust necessary to create real change. From June 14-June 17, 2021, the Council will bring together foundation and philanthropic leaders to connect on the critical issues concerning the sector.
In response to the racial reckoning in 2020, foundations have sought many perspectives to learn how they can support racial justice, shift power, and more effectively engage communities in grantmaking decisions. Moving beyond the basic practices that many foundations are already incorporating, this workshop will examine how foundations can incorporate a racial equity perspective in their overall strategy setting and implementation planning at both the institutional level and the programmatic level.
