Justin Aiken joined the Council on Foundations in May of 2014 as Counsel. Prior to joining the Council, Justin worked as an Attorney and Legal Policy Consultant for PKH Enterprises, where he worked with clients in both the private and public sectors. Justin counseled small business in their formation, drafted/revised contracts and all other agreements relevant to a particular client’s business endeavors. In addition, Justin’s practice involved consulting federal agencies on policy and compliance issues. Upon graduating from law school, Justin served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Maurice A. Ross at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
Justin is originally from Philadelphia, PA, but considers Washington, DC to be his home away from home. Justin completed his undergraduate studies at Howard University and went on to receive a law degree from George Washington University Law School, where he met his wife, Khelin. He is an avid sports fan, loves all Philly sports teams (in order, Eagles, Sixers, Phillies, Flyers), and will compete at any and everything possible. He and his wife have a dog named Tiger. When not working, Justin can be found on a golf course, hopefully winning.
You should contact Justin with legal questions, specifically regarding any contracts involving the Council.
