Congressional Briefing: Voter Perceptions of the Charitable Sector

Daniel J. Cardinali, president and CEO of Independent Sector, led a discussion on the extensive, bipartisan research conducted in 2016 of 1,300 voters nationwide on their perspectives on the work of charitable organizations, societal influence, and participation in the policymaking process. Mr. Cardinali and other speakers from charitable organizations discussed the public policy implications of this research.

The Independent Sector, the Council on Foundations, and the Alliance for Charitable Reform/Philanthropy Roundtable, in cooperation with the House Philanthropy Caucus, came together for a briefing on voter perceptions of the charitable sector from 8:00-9:30 am on Thursday, September 22, 2016 in Room 122 of the Cannon House Office Building.
