Over the past weeks, COVID-19 has changed most companies disaster and crisis management plans by the hour. As primary local funders throughout this pandemic, many are launching local response funds, shifting to unrestricted grants, and seeking best practices to meet the current and emerging needs of their employees and communities.

During this session, participants will engage in a Q&A discussion to address emerging legal questions related to:

  • Assistance funds and hardship grants
  • Self-dealing
  • Other employee or community-related response contributions from companies and their foundations.

Registrants will have an opportunity to share top questions/concerns for legal review prior to the session.

Nonprofit attorneys from the Council on Foundations, Bryan Del Rosario and Ben McDearmon, as well as Lead Strategist for corporate philanthropy, Lindsay Mason, will be present to tackle specific issues and clarifications as needed.

Note: Additional office hours will be added on April 16th and 30th starting at 1 pm ET. Stay tuned for more information.
