4th Haiti Funders Conference

This conference is a gathering curated exclusively for funders — those currently funding, formerly funding, and interested in funding development assistance in Haiti. This conference brings together philanthropists and foundations to deepen their understanding of the development issues in Haiti and how best to support solutions. We will create a space where funders connect and share, ask ourselves hard questions about the effectiveness of our work, and learn about new approaches and opportunities to collaborate.

Despite the difficult current situation, we believe that Haiti is poised to make real progress in social and economic development.  It has dedicated community-based organizations, an engaged diaspora, and a young population committed to driving change.  Philanthropists can play a pivotal role in Haiti’s resurgence by providing strategic investments that support truly sustainable, systemic change.

This conference will be highly participatory. We will emphasize making and doing over talking. We will prototype collaborative ideas to gain deeper perspective on “how to” actually make them happen. The connecting, sharing, and learning that will take place will shape new narratives about Haiti’s promise and the impact that effective philanthropy can have.

In order to encourage maximum participation by funders new and old, and thanks to our generous co-hosts, there is no registration fee to attend the conference.
