Alex Carter has family roots that extend back six generations in Northern California, fostering a passion for cultural and resource preservation. His roles at The McConnell Foundation include the management of the Foundation’s land resources as well as facilitating collaboration with other resource managers on regional projects. Increasingly, these efforts are influenced by climate adaptation projects. In the wake of the devastating 2018 California wildfires, Alex has been a leader in the recovery efforts by building and supporting local capacity for wildfire resiliency in the community.
