Angela Catella serves as Senior Manager, Planning, Strategy at The Pew Charitable Trusts, where she works to develop and refine initiatives that will advance the organization’s mission of improving public policy. Angela has nearly 20 years of experience working in and partnering with state and federal government, on diverse policy issues ranging from domestic health care and human services to international development. Prior to joining Pew, Angela served as Division Chief for Senate Affairs at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), where she collaborated with bipartisan allies in Congress and within the nonprofit and stakeholder community to secure federal funding and advance policy objectives on topics ranging from food aid reform to reducing maternal and child mortality. Previously, she collaborated extensively with state and national stakeholders to advance New York’s interests in Washington, DC as Assistant Director for Federal Policy in the New York State Governor’s office. Angela holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from The George Washington University.
