David J. Byrd is the Deputy Assistant Secretary, Office of Policy Development, at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Prior to his current position, he served as a Senior Advisor for HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson and the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Community Planning and Development. Mr. Byrd also identified potential candidates for executive appointments for the Trump Administration. Mr. Byrd is the CEO/Founder of Byrd’s Eye, LLC, a consulting firm that offers political consulting and coaching services to a variety of clients. Mr. Byrd holds a Bachelor from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Masters from Rowan University.
