Community Foundation Week 2026 Resources

November 12-18: Engage with Your Local Community Today!

Community Foundation Week, created in 1989 by former president George H.W. Bush, recognizes the important work of community foundations across the country and their collaborative and innovative approach to working with the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Each year, Community Foundation Week coincides with National Philanthropy Day on November 15.

Help raise awareness of what Generosity Builds in your community by telling the story of the work that your foundation is doing to address local challenges. During the week of November 12-18 and for National Philanthropy Day, engage in social media campaigns, local storytelling in partnership with media outlets, and other creative ways to engage around the importance of community philanthropy and your foundation's impact.

Included here are our first resources for CF Week 2026. More templates, tools, and resources are coming soon. Bookmark this page and stay tuned!
