Annually Celebrated November 12-18: Engage with Your Local Community Today!
Community Foundation Week, created in 1989 by former president George H.W. Bush, recognizes the important work of community foundations throughout America and their collaborative and innovative approach to working with the public, private, and nonprofit sector. As in years past, Community Foundation Week coincides with National Philanthropy Day (sponsored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals) on November 15. The Council on Foundations will promote Community Foundation Week through national outreach and advocacy channels. Help raise awareness by telling your community about the work that your foundation is doing to address persistent civic and economic challenges. To help support your work, the Council has designed a series of resources designed to assist you with outreach and awareness building, including writing an op-ed or press release, conducting outreach on social media, and providing general facts about community foundations.
We're also hosting a series of webinars around #CFWeek. Register today, and join us in celebrating the week!
