The topic of regulatory frameworks that govern global grantmaking consistently arises as a priority for Council members. This webinar will discuss a range of issues, touching on both global and domestic policies that impact your work. For example, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), a global regulatory body that sets international recommendations for policies that affect the flow of cross-border philanthropic investments, will update its recommendations in 2015. The U.S. Department of Treasury and foreign governments will look to model their regulations that directly affect your grantmaking on the new FATF recommendations, so the time is ripe for a renewed conversation about the U.S. regulatory framework. The Council aims to engage and represent Members in these and other regulatory processes that impact global philanthropy in 2015.

We invite Council members to join this discussion with several non-profit law experts, which we hope to continue in-person at the Council’s 2015 Annual Meeting in San Francisco in April.
