As vice president, chief financial officer, Ken Jones oversees the finance, accounting, grants management, facilities, operations and business technology functions of the Foundation. In this role, he ensures the Foundation’s finance and administration policies are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and procedures. He also is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency of Foundation operations.
Jones has more than 25 years experience in business and finance, including serving as chief financial officer for Danya International and Jhpiego, an international health organization affiliated with The Johns Hopkins University. He also has significant financial corporate experience working for Prudential, Ford and Pfizer corporations.
He earned a master's in business administration from the M.I.T. Sloan School of Management, a master’s in economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a bachelor's from Boston University. He is on the board of directors of the University at Buffalo Alumni Association, the Association of Black Foundation Executives and College Summit – National Capital Region.
