2018 Member Meeting and Council on Foundations Awards Ceremony

The Council on Foundations Awards Program was established to recognize excellence in philanthropy and honor exemplary leaders for their dedication to exploring creative ways to advance the common good.

This year’s ceremony, held at the National Museum of Women in the Arts on November 28, 2018, will recognize four distinct awards that recognize excellence in philanthropy: the Distinguished Service Award, the Robert W. Scrivner Award for Creative Grantmaking, the Wilmer Shields Rich Award for Excellence in Communications and the Chapman Prize, a new addition to the awards portfolio which carries a $100,000 prize. The ceremony includes a speech by Stephen Heintz, the 2018 Distinguished Service Award winner, on the state of philanthropy, as well as performances by local artists.

A brief Council Member Meeting precedes the ceremony from 3:00-3:45 pm ET, where attendees can hear the state of the Council and elect new members of the Board of Directors.

The Awards Ceremony is from 4:00 pm-5:00 pm, and is followed by a networking reception from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm.
