Private Foundation Executives

Building a culture of trust within your organization, where everyone has a clear understanding of mission, vision, values, and direction, requires the executive to navigate often competing priorities from their board and staff. Leaders must balance multiple perspectives and personalities, all while fulfilling their own roles and responsibilities and ensuring organizational stability.

This collaborative roundtable will provide a space for private foundation executives to share experiences, solve problems, and support one another in a community for philanthropic leaders.

  • How can executive leaders encourage and support interactions between staff and board members to cultivate a culture of trust within their organization?
  • What communications practices have proven successful in conveying difficult conversations and decisions by the board back to staff?
  • How can you support and align the diversity, equity, and inclusion learning journeys of both board and staff?
