As Lead Strategist for global philanthropy, Brian works across the Council's membership to support foundations in their global grantmaking, especially concerning local country regulations. He also serves as the Council's liaison to non-US philanthropic networks and foundations, bringing ideas and perspectives from outside of the United States to a domestic audience.
Prior to joining the Council on Foundations, Brian worked at CAF America, a global grantmaking intermediary organization, supporting their thought leadership platform and communications efforts. Brian received his MA in international conflict and security from the University of Kent's Brussels School of International Studies and received his BA from the George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs. In his free time, he likes to spend time in nature, in the kitchen cooking and baking, or with friends at a local bar. A dog lover, Brian has two corgis and lives in Bethesda, Maryland.
